This position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. The Sales Development Manager is responsible for providing value to the business by automating complex business processes, creating reports and dashboards, and coaching and training the Sales Development Representative Team.As The Sales Development Manager, You WouldTrain, coach, motivate, and mentor a team and develop their skills to proactively pursue and qualify sales leads via telesales, cold calling, and email marketing, conducting needs assessments determining client requirements and expectations, passing qualified sales opportunities to the Enterprise Sales Team, generating new business leads by providing product information, vetting leads based on sales and marketing-determined criteria, engaging executives in targeted prospect accountsDeveloping objectives for the team's day-to-day activitiesConducting effective resource planning, to maximize the productivity of resourcesEffectively communicating with the Sales Team regarding qualified leads, maintaining accurate documentation, and successfully developing creative strategiesPlanning and overseeing new initiatives, researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities, developing growth strategies and plans, analyzing metrics, having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value propositionAttending conferences, meetings, and industry eventsDeveloping goals for business growth and ensuring they are metAssuming responsibility for department budgetHiring to maintain high customer service standardsMonitoring and improving phone and email contact with customersThe Ideal Candidate Will PossessA record of success in building and managing lean, high performing teamsKnowledge of performance evaluation and customer service metricsA solid understanding of reporting and budgeting proceduresExperience in basic financial analysisProficiency in MS OfficeProficiency using Salesforce.com including the creation and utilization of dashboards and reportsProficiency using prospecting tools such as InsideSales.com and DiscoverOrg.A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and strong data management abilities.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.Experience in a computer software or IT industry a Plus!A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.A minimum of an Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Economics or Finance, or Business Development is a plus.An individual must be able to perform each Essential Function of the job satisfactorily.
