Materials AnalystPosition SummarySt. Petersburg is our primary soft gel development and manufacturing facility in North America with capacity of 18 billion capsules per year. --Within the Catalent network, we offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve difficult development and manufacturing challenges. Catalent is committed to a Patient First culture through excellence in quality and--compliance, and to the safety of every patient, consumer and Catalent employee.--The Materials Analyst will support the local site by coordinating the material evaluation request process to ensure that raw material APIs and other excipients are fully qualified and approved. The role will also work with the Procurement team to source raw materials from approved suppliers. The Materials Analyst is responsible for managing the qualification process of new material introductions, coordinating and aligning priorities with cross-functional teams to meet delivery deadlines, managing the documentation request process, conducting procurement analytics, creating, revising, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), facilitating weekly stakeholder status reviews, and creating internal stakeholder voice of the customer (VOC) surveys. The role also includes other procurement activities as assigned by the site procurement manager.The Role

• Oversee the qualification process for new material introductions.
• Ensure all materials meet the required standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues and ensure timely deliveries.
• Facilitate communication between departments to streamline processes and resolve conflicts.
• Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Create, revise, and maintain SOPs related to procurement and material management.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal stakeholder voice of the customer surveys.
• Analyze survey results to identify areas for improvement and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
• Assist the site procurement manager with various procurement activities as needed.
• All other duties as assigned. The Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Materials Science, Quality Assurance or a relevant, related discipline is required.
  • Master's Degree a plus.
  • Minimum three years' experience in procurement, supply chain management, materials analysis, quality assurance, or a related field required.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical, materials, or related technical industries is preferred.----
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment (24x7 scheduling variations) is preferred.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment, particularly with procurement, engineering, quality, product development and manufacturing teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE) is a plus.
  • Sit and work with a computer for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds; no lifting greater than 44.09 pounds without assistance.
