Summary:

Provides support to the Collation family by operating Tray Hygiene equipment effectively and efficiently. Tray Hygiene family equipment will support the families' collators. Follows established procedures with guidance from your assigned Collation Lead.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reports to workstation/area on time and prepared to work.
• Operates Collation Tray Hygiene equipment in a team environment, at maximum efficiency level following established processes.
• May need to independently operate the Tray Hygiene area alone at times while team members are at break.
• Evaluate postal trays to ensure they meet Valpak quality standards.
• Ability to operate a manual pallet jack to move Postal mail trays from warehouse location to the Tray Hygiene area.
• Demonstrates behavior that sets the example within the tray Hygiene area regarding quality, continuous process improvement, safety, and housekeeping.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on assigned machinery.
• Accomplishes duties using safe work practices and equipment while being responsible for reporting all injuries or observed unsafe practices.
• Performs related work and additional duties as needed or required.
  Education/Experience:
  
  Entry Level position. No prior tray hygiene experience needed. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
  
  Requirements and Qualifications:
  

• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Diagnose routine mechanical issues and make minor equipment repairs.
• Problem solving ability.
• Ability to lift/move up to 40#.
• Be able to communicate effectively
• Ability to stand/ walk for long periods and climb and cross a short ladder multiple time.
• Work in a noisy area using hearing protection.
• Must be available to work weekends as needed.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to complete a self-review yearly.
