The Transamerica Advice Center has a well-established group of professionals designed to support the clients and Advisors of our Retirement Advisory team. We are seeking Customer Service focused professionals to deliver outstanding service to our Managed IRA clients. The ideal candidate will partner closely with a small group of Advisors to deliver top notch customer service, problem resolution, account set up and maintenance, and overall white glove service to our customers.

This position can be located in Denver, CO., St. Paul, MN, St. Petersburg, FL, or Cedar Rapids, IA.

Job DescriptionWhat You Will Do:


  • Working alongside an experienced and results-oriented team of Financial Advisors and other Sales Assistants, you will provide best in class service to our retirement account clients, as you partner with and support a small group of Financial Advisors in a collaborative environment.
  • You will ensure that accounts are being opened and funded properly and in a timely manner.
  • You will utilize your knowledge of our products and various systems to research and resolve questions or account issues for our clients.
  • You will use your previous experience or you newly gained knowledge and observations to make recommendations for streamlining and improving processes and efficiencies to better support the needs of our clients.

    What You Will Learn:

    • You will work in an environment that offers continuous personal and professional development to hone your skills as a consummate fiduciary
    • You will become knowledgeable in our retirement product offerings
    • Gain proficiency in a variety of technology based systems like AWD, Morningstar, NetX360, Salesforce and others, and utilize these tools to research and extract the information necessary to educate and assist our clients and resolve account issues and inquiries.
    • Recognize opportunities to engage the client with their advisor in order to ensure that they understand and are making sound financial decisions
    • Learn how to ask probing questions and become an effective listener in order to help our clients to best articulate their questions and ensure that you are able to find the best solutions

      What Success Looks Like:

      • Successfully complete a structured training program consisting of hands on and side by side training in our products and systems.
      • You will use your training and knowledge, combined with your passion for delivering excellent customer service, to provide our clients with effective problem resolution, education, and support
      • Work with our external Money Managers and Custodians as necessary to ensure the timely and efficient processing of client requests and problem resolution
      • Complete Integrity Service training and become an Integrity Service certified professional
      • Provide exceptional customer service on each and every interaction you have with clients, participants, Advisors, and your peers
      • Completing work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
      • Learn to identify and report fraud to the appropriate channels
      • Assist in training new employees and help with their development. Being a resource to answer questions and assist team members on-site and in other Transamerica locations.

        What You Need:

        • Bachelors degree in a business field or equivalent work experience
        • FINRA Series 6 or 7 license
        • Two years of experience in the brokerage or financial industry, or related experience
        • Broad knowledge of brokerage accounts and investments
        • Strong attention to detail
        • Team oriented
        • Excellent customer service skills for extensive contact with clients
        • Excellent written and oral communication skills
        • Proactive and customer focused
        • Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities
        • PC proficiency (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
