The Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID)
is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities
within Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). SADID provides
system level design through requirements definition for complex,
large scale defense applications. To support this activity, SADID
employees are responsible for modeling and simulation efforts,
system effectiveness and operational analysis, radar systems
design, signal processing algorithm development, tracking, and
SADID's core capabilities encompass a wide range of the key systems
engineering competencies required for successful technical
development and program execution. Our capabilities cover the
entire lifecycle, including business capture, proposal development,
system requirements development and technical design, as well as
system integration and test support.
Our general systems engineering expertise comprises architecting,
requirements development, flow down and design, algorithm
development, modeling and simulation, operations analysis and
integration and test support. Areas of expertise are radar, sensor,

in Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) is seeking engineering
professionals for full time Systems Engineering positions with the
Maritime Domain Systems (MDS)Team in St. Petersburg, FL. The MDS
department is focused on providing systems that align with the
tenets of United States Navy Seapower strategy to ensure security,
stability and prosperity. This is achieved by optimizing designs
for affordability, sustainability, reliability and capability. The
selected applicant would join a team of talented engineers in
developing sophisticated naval and maritime solutions on Raytheons
Perform Systems Engineering tasks related to:
- Systems Engineering Studies / Trades to determine solutions to
- System Requirements Definition, Analysis, and Maintenance for
US Navy System
- System Design & Algorithm Development in the area of radar
integration and Kalman Filters
- System Integration, Test, and Analysis; to include occasional
- Work in coordination with the Program office to support
customer Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or
Physics with minimum of 8(+) years of experience in the field of
engineering or a related technical discipline working with Radar or
Combat System processing (e.g. design requirements for radar /
combat systems, tactical or simulation algorithm prototyping or
- Experience in surface or ground based radar tracking algorithms
and analysis to include: association and track correlation, track
filtering/Kalman filters, situational awareness, data fusion or
gridlock concepts and techniques
- Experience working on larger DoD software development and
- Solution oriented individual who has initiative and can
communicate technical details effectively (Good written and oral
- Ability to produce and present technical documentation
including customer briefings and specifications
- Active SECRET Clearance, or Interim SECRET
- Masters/Ph.D. Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics,
Physics or Computer Science
- Experience with C/C++ programming languages
- Experience in requirements development
- Experience in algorithm development and modeling
- Experience in data fusion algorithms
- Experience with DOORS tool
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and/or
- Technical leadership experience
- Active TS or ability to obtain TS Clearance
- Experience supporting US Navy and/or DoD customers
- Experience with MATLAB and/or Simulink programming languages
for performance predictions and data analysis

This multi-disciplined Engineering team leads the development of
the U.S. Navys Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), a real-time
sensor-netting system that brings together radar data into a single
integrated air picture from geographically dispersed ships,
aircraft and ground-based units. This integrated picture improves a
battlegroups effectiveness by enabling longer range, cooperative,
or layered engagements. Todays CEC benefits from advancements in
