TechnologistWe are currently seeking a Florida-licensed CT
Technologist to provide computerized assisted tomographic services
to patients as ordered by physicians following established
standards and practices under the direction of the radiologist. As
our CT Technologist, you will be competent in all of the following:
brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis,
upper/lower extremities, sella, and biopsies. We prioritize patient

As a CT Technologist:
- You will select proper technical factors for study then perform
and complete diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a caring,
compassionate and respectful manner
- You will possess sound and thorough operational knowledge of
the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser
filmer, and teleradiology system
- You will assist in the administration of contrast media and
other related procedures
- You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed
ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or
devices indicated
- You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to
exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields
within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- You will obtain high-quality CT images assuring only optimal
images are submitted for interpretation
- You will remain proficient in executing software protocols and
keep up to date with changes in the field by in-service study,
attending courses or seminars as necessary/recommended
- You will maintain proactive and effective communication with
patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the
radiologist
- You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain
cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of
contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary
supplies
- You will accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as
needed to provide optimum patient care Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency, technical education,
Associate Degree (Radiologic Technology)
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification
- Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing,
bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of
patients/equipment up to 100 lbs.
- Minimum of 2-4 years current/recent experience, preferably in
an acute-care hospital setting via school, military, vocational
environment or employment HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is a
215 bed acute care hospital. We are Joint Commission accredited. We
provide emergency, diagnostic, medical and surgical services. We
have women's services that include labor and delivery, post-partum
and nursery. We are an accredited advanced primary stroke center
and chest pain center. We are a certified atrial fibrillation
center and an accredited community cancer center. We are a LGBTQ

for best emergency care for the 4th year in a row. We are a blue
distinction center+ for maternity care and are accredited as a
breast center with digital imaging and computer aided detection. We
are a GYN robotic surgery training epicenter. We have a pelvic pain
