We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAnesthesia Technician We are currently seeking a dedicated Anesthesia Technician to join our fast-paced Surgical Services team on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will prepare anesthesia instruments, equipment, supplies, and drugs for use throughout the Surgical Services area. If you are a caring and compassionate professional, come join our close-knit team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Set up lines and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Troubleshoot anesthesia machinery
  • Assist with insertion of lines, intubation and pain blocks
  • Stock anesthesia carts, assist with inventory control of supplies and pharmaceuticals
  • Gather data for Quality Improvement
  • Support nursing staff as needed
  • Assist with decontamination and cleaning processesQualifications
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician required
    • Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching and lifting of 25 lbs. Northside Hospital is a 280+ bed facility offering state-of-the-art treatment.
