Job DescriptionDesktop Support Specialist  Who You Are and What You'll Do:  Desktop Support Specialist will provide level I and II desk side support for 400+ office and remote users, their applications, Windows and Mac Workstations, printers and telephones.  This position is also responsible for basic workstation maintenance including workstation patch management, support, troubleshooting, installation and break/fix.   What You'll Do Day to Day: 

  • Monitor service/problem tickets in JIRA and/or email. 
  • Monitor and respond to Help Desk chats via Microsoft Teams. 
  • Ensures the efficient operation of Windows and Mac workstations 
  • Manage user accounts within AD Manager application, this includes disabling/enabling accounts and password resets 
  • Help with the maintenance/operations of user workstations 
  • Help with remote deployment of software and applications to user workstations. 
  • Help perform workstation patching as required 
  • User Equipment add/move/changes 
  • Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot, provide solutions, and best practices 
  • Work with outside vendors as needed 
  • Weekend support via on-call rotation   Knowledge, Skills and Experience That You Will Need to Be Successful in This Role: 
    • 1-3 years of Windows desktop support experience required. MacOS support experience a plus. 
    • Experience in a remote support environment 
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 products. Intune, Azure experience a plus. 
    • Some knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc)  
    • Some knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration  
    • Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds  
    • Strong customer service skills 
    • Ability to create and maintain documentation for processes 
    • Experience with setup, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software (Windows and Mac OS)  
    • MDM experience with Android, and iOS devices, in a networked environment 
    • Active Directory/Group Policy experience  
    • Imaging experience with MDT preferred  
    • Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems 
    • Understanding of Microsoft products/systems and their administration. 
    • Understanding of Apple Mac products/systems and their administration. 
    • Understanding of LAN configuration and administration. 
    • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people  
    • Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures  
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment  Education: 
      • Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics, networking, a closely related degree or equivalent experience preferred
