Please Note: This role is a permanent direct hire role with a financial services company with locations in Largo, FL and Phoenix, AZ. This is a remote opportunity. I have been retained by my client to assist with their hiring needs, but this person would be an employee of our clients from day 1. This is NOT a temp or contract role! Corporate Communication Specialist Description Join the people helping people. The Corporate Communications Specialist creates and maintains proactive, strategic, integrated communications---both internal and external---to build awareness, drive engagement and strengthen our clients corporate brand. As part of our clients Corporate Communications team within the company---s Marketing department, this individual will be responsible for creating content and messaging for our clients financial institutions (FIs), Internal employees, and other industry stakeholders. Collaboration with staff members at various levels in the organization is required to gather content/messaging about products, solutions, services, events, and announcements. Content is primarily written communications designed to inform, explain, interest, promote, advise or persuade, depending on project or campaign objectives. This role also works with the Creative team in the development of any complementary graphical, digital and/or social campaign components. The Corporate Communications Specialist performs independent research and interviews internal staff and external stakeholders to acquire strong knowledge of the company---s products, solutions, services and value proposition to create appropriate content and messaging. The successful candidate will possess exceptional writing ability, professional editorial judgment, proficiency in both long-form and short-form content development, and strong working knowledge of AP style. The ability to distill complex topics into compelling, easily consumable content is critical. In collaboration with our client's Solution Marketing team, Sales Enablement team, and other stakeholders, the Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and creation of a broad range of communications, including (but not limited to): E-newsletters to financial institutions and employees Marketing collateral, e-mail messages, and engaging copy for digital and print ads Standalone communications as required to targeted audiences, including internally to employees and leadership as well as informative messages to financial institutions on product/system updates or regulatory compliance initiatives Content related to the company and its products for publication on the company---s internal and external websites and social media platforms Content related to the company---s role as a community partner and credit union industry advocate; messages related to company events, initiatives, news and promotions Thought leadership content for company blogs, social media channels and trade publications; articles bylined by internal executives and subject matter authorities for placement in trade publications; case studies and white papers Communications and scripts for Internal executives Role Responsibilities Ensure communications meet quality standards while running multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Assist leadership in the collection and presentation of performance metrics that reflect the Corporate Communications department---s productivity and output. Work with IT team members and Marketing web developers to ensure functionality and accuracy of online content, email templates and new applications. Work closely with subject matter authorities, including internal key partners and external clients, demonstrating social skills and commitment to completing projects according to mutually agreed upon deadlines. Maintain current knowledge of credit union and community banking industry news and trends, products, solutions, and services, as well as the company---s strategic initiatives. Partner with internal leaders to develop thought leadership content for company blogs, social media channels and trade publications and provide copy support for case studies and white papers. Provide coverage for emergency communications if/as needed outside of normal business hours, including business disruption events and/or other crises. Serve as back-up to both internal and external communications resources if/as needed. Participate in rotation of on-call staff members to handle emergency or urgent communication requests that occur (rarely) outside of normal business hours. Process email distribution list requests, using data sourced from CRM and HRIS database for message distribution as/when needed, ensuring effective internal and external email delivery through email distribution list management. Communicate effectively with internal key stakeholders and external FI clients in verbal and written formats; deliver presentations as needed. Exercise initiative, discretion, follow-through, and independent judgment. Provide copyediting and editorial feedback on the work of other team members to ensure quality control of both internal and external communications. Other duties as needed/assigned. Role Requirements Education: Bachelor---s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field required. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience writing in a professional business-to-business environment required; experience in financial services and/or payments industry preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids Ability to lead multiple projects, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines Capability to think creatively to develop compelling and engaging content for assignments Demonstrated excellent analytical and quantitative skills Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in decision-making Ability to periodically support crisis communications outside of normal business hours Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with Salesforce and/or Pardot, as well as video editing and Photoshop, a plus Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to be flexible and work under pressure in a complex environment Pay Equity Our Client is committed to pay equity and a competitive benefits package. The typical annual hiring range for this position based on relevant experience and internal equity is: $53,900.00 To $71,300.00 In addition this position is eligible for an incentive plan, based on performance.
