Basic Function

This position is primarily responsible for developing, managing and supporting key enterprise initiatives that directly align to the organization’s strategic direction. This position will assist in the design, development and execution of various projects to drive better organizational growth through strategic alignment, competitive positioning, and business development. The incumbent will help design frameworks and innovative approaches to report on business strategies, long-term roadmaps, investments and corporate governance matters.

This position will need a high degree of business acumen and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will work closely with senior management across all business units to provide support and reporting on all corporate governance issues, strategic plans and enterprise performance. This requires working with multiple functions across the company to gather information on financial, strategic and operational performance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate the development, analysis and reporting of PSCU’s corporate strategy (via board presentations and communications), including board memos, pre-reads, presentations, internal briefing documents, FAQs and presentations

  • Build PowerPoint presentations in coordination with the Corporate Governance & Strategy team on key business strategies, CEO updates, financial performance, membership development strategies, and other operational updates

  • Design, write and produce corporate governance material, using executive-level business writing skills, for committee meetings (most notably the Nomination and Succession Committee) including meeting minutes, agendas, narratives, board

action memos, governance policies, and presentations; ensure all documents remain in compliance with the By-laws, governance manual, committee charters and other related documents

  • Develop and report on key Nomination and Succession Committee deliverables including annual performance assessments, active pipeline of potential Board candidates, hiring and recruitment criteria, succession and transition plans, etc.

  • Partner with senior management and consultants to develop recruitment, hiring, succession and transition plans for the Board, including an ideal Board profile and composition, that is aligned to industry best practices

  • As advised, partner with senior management and Human Resources to report on key executive succession and transition plans

  • Maintain a complete calendar of key committee deliverables and ensure all deadlines are being met and follow best-in-class procedures

  • Create and manage day-to-day operational plans of the Corporate Governance & Strategy department, tracking key deliverables, maintaining open items lists and ensuring key deadlines are being met

  • Lead the development of the assigned special projects, and strategic plans, assisting in the creation, content development, analysis and reporting of key enterprise initiatives, working with senior management across the organization (as directed)

  • Lead the identification of potential solutions through business driven “problem solving” approach, gathering and analyzing market data, consumer intelligence, competitive information, as well as internal capabilities and capacity; direct efforts to quickly introduce innovative approaches to optimize organizational performance

  • Partner closely with Marketing in the creation and development of annual reports, All Hands meeting materials, sales & corporate presentations, strategic plan communications and other special projects

  • Gather information on competitive positioning, industry news, payments/market updates and analyze in order to identify key business challenges and opportunities; draft executive-level summaries on each

  • Partner with management to identify gaps in existing processes and develop strategies to improve

  • Ensure all communications are consistent and compliant with PSCU’s branding standards and align to the corporate strategy

  • Scope, plan and execute multiple, often quick-turnaround projects with minimal outside assistance

  • Continually focus on driving best-in-class practices and processes across corporate governance and strategic planning

  • Assist with other special projects and confidential matters in a “real-time” manner, especially during Board meeting preparation

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Marketing or similar) required; MBA strongly preferred

Experience

Minimum five (5) years of related work experience required in corporate governance/investor relations, strategic planning, marketing, business development, corporate communications or similar required.

  • Ability to develop and initiate projects as well as follow through with detailed project plans

  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions

  • Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of materials handled

  • Ability to be flexible and work under high pressure in a complex environment

  

Pay Equity

PSCU is committed to pay equity and a competitive benefits package. The typical annual hiring range for this position based on relevant experience and internal equity is:

$72,400.00

to

$123,000.00

In addition this position is eligible for an incentive plan, based on performance.
