Our Senior Billing Analysts, daily, has to manage, monitor,
influence, and coordinate variable billing complexities in data,
executed contracts, systems, and collaborations. The essences of
this role involves the accurate and successful generation of the
monthly invoice, reconciliation of Accounts Receivable,
responsiveness to internal/external inquiries, and gaining an
understanding of how contract pricing is reflected in the billing
system. The Senior Analyst will support, guide, and provide
direction to other team members, participate in projects to ensure
billing process consistency, recommend operational improvements and
system enhancements based on proficiency, and perform ancillary
duties as they present.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Review monthly billing processes to ensure timely and accurate
Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills to review
and manage large data sets to ensure billing accuracy and
compliance with internal controls.
Analyze contracts and execute accurate updates of billing rules
within the billing system(s).
Provide staff direction in resolving escalated billing issues
via ticketing system and billing adjustments within divisional
policies and procedures stemming from client contracts to overall
client line of business invoices.
Collaborate with staff and provide guidance in the completion of
their day-to-day responsibilities in file processing, inquiry
resolutions, and system enhancements while ensuring established
policies and procedures are followed.
Research, analyze, and troubleshoot general technical and
operational issues resulting from system setup or processed
Gain a full solid understanding of companywide ticketing inquiry
Analyze established processes, find opportunities for and
develop operational improvements for workflow and billing system
including recommendations for the INVue Billing System.
Participate in billing system improvement/enhancement projects,
assist in coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for any and
all system improvements deployed.
Establish periodic audit, reconciliation, and validation of the
billing and accounting system to ensure maximum efficiency and

Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years’ equivalent business related
Minimum five (5) year’s accounting or accounts receivable
experience with general ledger and financial reporting
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the credit/debit card
industry with analysis and statistical understanding of
Visa/MasterCard products, programs and types of membership
Experience in billing systems workflow required.
PC Windows-based software experience required with intermediate
knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Lawson and or Oracle
High level of attention to detail and organization skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact
effectively with all levels within the company
Critical thinking skills to understand unique process exceptions
and develop appropriate resolutions.
