Your Moment."This application is the first step in seizing your moment.Service Desk Summer (Human Resources Systems/ Process Improvement) InternshipDuration: June 7 - August 20, 2021Internship will be almost entirely remote, but the intern may be required to attend meetings or events on site in St. Petersburg, FLIf selected, interviewing starts January 4, 2021About the Service DeskThe Service Desk serves as the face of IT and provides technical assistance to PSCU employees, Vendors and Credit Unions. The team consists of 2 Levels, Level 1 and Level 2 each with specific responsibilities

  • Level 1 - uses Service Now knowledge articles to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. The team is also responsible for escalating incidents to the appropriate team if the issue cannot be resolved, they also handle all incoming contacts to the Service Desk and identifies knowledge gaps.
  • Level 2 - uses Service Now knowledge articles and also years of experience to resolve escalated issues from Level 1. They also assist with resolving knowledge gaps, more sophisticated issues as well as focusing on driving Major Incident Management.Service Desk InternshipGoals and ObjectivesThe purpose of this engagement is to streamline the way the Service Desk on boards and trains new hires to their team from a documentation perspective. This improvement will include gathering existing documentation, reviewing it with Service Desk leadership and updating all documentation accordingly. The intern will become a subject matter expert in onboarding and developing a training curriculum. Ultimately, the main responsibility and goal of the intern is to develop a Service Desk On Boarding Guide and a Service Desk Training Curriculum as well as additional responsibilities as assigned. This may include detailing additional processes and knowledge articles in Service Now. You'll also gain insight into our rich history, our outstanding culture, and our committed social conscience.In this 10-week program, for the first week, you'll engage in orientation and get a grounding in Credit Unions. For the remaining time, you'll work in a specific core function in our St. Petersburg headquarters based on your interests and interview results. In addition to your daily work, you'll be participating leadership development sessions and interacting with PSCU's senior leadership teams.PSCU Intern Program Entry Qualifications
    • Completion of sophomore or junior year in an accredited undergraduate degree program with a 3.0/4.0 GPA at time of application.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate thoughts, communicate, completely, and concisely.
    • Strong, organizational, and detail skills, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
    • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities change on short notice.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite-- with a heavy emphasis on Excel.
    • Proficiency in software that applies to your major and function-specific internship.
    • Passion for learning the Credit Union Industry.
    • Must be able to commute to St. Petersburg when vital during the program.
    • Being friendly, hardworking, and energetic, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.Service Desk Internship Requirements
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Point
      • Expertise in Microsoft Word
      • An understanding or desire to learn about IT Operations, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions
      • A desire to develop technical writing skills
