Job Description:

First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is looking to add a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician with experience and/or specialized training in Geriatric Medicine to their Post-Acute Care Services. We are located in the highly desirable are of Sarasota, Florida, which is located on the West Coast of Florida and only minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Chosen candidate must also have an interest in teaching Medical Students and Internal Medicine Residents. You will join a solid team of three (3) Geriatricians and two (2) APRNs. The position will involve visiting Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities to provide primary care to the residents. No additional outpatient clinic work is required. Experience with treating patients in a long-term care setting is preferred. Medical Directorships are available. This is a full-time position and the hours are flexible giving the physician a great work/life balance. Physicians will see 8-10 patients per day if working in the ALFs and 12-14 patients if rounding in the SNFs. Patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to the Medical Hospitalist service at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. No on-site treatment is required by the physician for evenings or weekends. It is limited to phone calls only. Call will be 1:5+ and will be shared equally amongst providers. Benefit Highlights
