Sign on Bonus $10,000.000 POSITION SUMMARY: Full Time 36 hours per week, The Registered Respiratory Therapist’s purpose is to provide quality respiratory care to our patients, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment. Collaborates care with the multidisciplinary team and communicates effectively with others. Ensures patient care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department and regulatory agencies. Is accountable for maintaining all skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate respiratory care to all ages of patients from neonate to adolescent. Along with other care team members, is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high standards of care provided by JHACH. Relocation assistance is available. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assesses patient's clinical status, evaluates progress toward goals, and recommends courses of action to determine a plan of care Plans for the patient’s respiratory care needs in collaboration with other members of the care team to provide the highest quality of clinical outcomes Safely performs various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines and policies to provide safe patient care Analyzes critical situations and applies appropriate judgment and critical thinking to achieve problem resolution Accurately and reliably interprets and communicates patient results to support patient care Document interventions performed and responses to therapies in the electronic medical record to result in compliant and useful documentation Interacts with and explains therapeutic modalities to patients, families,s and the interdisciplinary team in an understandable manner based on learning styles and individual diversity to ensure collaborative care coordination Effectively works in a team-based environment especially during stressful situations involving quickly changing priorities to achieve the highest quality of patient outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree Current Florida Respiratory Therapist Licensure Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC) Must be a graduate from a Registered Respiratory Therapy Program approved by the Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) Minimum of 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred No experience is required for New graduate Registered Respiratory Therapist Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 120-day orientation period Current NRP certification if working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit WHAT AWAITS YOU: Medical, Dental, Vision 403B Savings Plan Paid Time off & Paid Holidays Employee and Dependent Tuition Benefits Refer a friend to Johns Hopkins, an opportunity to earn $$$ Health & Wellness programs and more! Salary Range: Minimum 30.19 per hour - Maximum 48.30 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
