Summary and Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
- State of Florida Speech Language Pathologist licensed
required.
- Experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required through American
Heart Association.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the Speech
Language Hearing Association.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal
communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written
instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.
Your duties and responsibilities may include:
- You will evaluate the patient's condition, obtain case history,
and administer diagnostic tests to determine nature and degree of
speech and language problem.
- You will establish, implement, and modify treatment plans, in
accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures, scope
of practice and standards of practice.
- You will determine when patient progress and goals have been
met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention.
- You will establish provisions for continuing services and makes
referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as
necessary.This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations
(unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).HCA Florida
