Job Description:

The Licensed Basic X-Ray Technician (BMO) is responsible for the following:

* Assists providers with patient examination, procedures, treatment, and x-ray/imaging services.
* Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
* Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.
* Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).
* Complies with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.
* Supports both front and back-office duties.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Position may require travel to other sites depending on patient volume and clinic needs.
* Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Required Certification or Licensure includes BLS Certificate and Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO).

OR

The Radiology Tech/MA is responsible for the following:

* Assists physicians with triage, patient examination, procedures, treatments, and x-rays.
* Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
* Create and maintain patient charts.
* File charts and reports.
* This position supports urgent care offices with x-ray equipment.

Required Certification or Licensure includes ARRT, BLS, and Florida CRT (within 6 months of hire).

The clinic hours for most BayCare Urgent Care location are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday and 9:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The Work Schedule for the positions are twelve (12) hour shifts 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (or until last patient leaves) Monday through Friday, and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (or until the last patient leaves) on Saturday and Sunday with a Two Days On, then Two Days off Rotation. This will include every other weekend.

Certifications and Licensures

BMO and Rad Tech/MA Required BLS (Basic Life Support) BMO Required BMO (Basic Machine Operator) License Rad Tech/MA Required ARRT (Radiologic Technologists) Certification/Registration and Radiology within 6 months

Education

BMO Required High School or Equivalent Or Technical MA or EMT or Paramedic or LPN Or Diploma Nursing Or Associate's or Bachelor's Nursing Rad Tech/MA Required High School or Equivalent Required Associate's Radiology Or Technical Radiology

Experience

BMO Required 2 years MA or EMT or Paramedic Or 1 year LPN or RN Rad Tech/MA Preferred 1 year Radiology Preferred 1 year Medical Office
