engine" of Collins Mission Systems.Will work or lead as part of a
combined team; and participate as the principal business
development lead along with program managers and engineering leads,
to uncover, pursue and capture new business in the Open Systems
Solutions business specific to open comm systems modules, skills,
crypto and MLS subsystems.The business is based in Cedar Rapids,
but open to discussion of remote option.What You Will Do
- Leads the development of company market requirements for highly
technical and complex open comm system modules, systems and
solutions; including the development of go-to-market strategies,
requirements analysis, and "Real, Win, Worth" analysis
- Responsible for developing, forecasting, and capturing new
opportunities and maintaining relationships with new and existing
customers
- Reduces broad concepts and strategic initiatives into Marketing
Plans, additionally identifies strategic inflection points in the
marketplace for core and non-traditional business initiatives.
Develops and presents compelling strategic and business growth
opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis via
decision point reviews
- Leads the development and execution of Marketing Plans and
strategies to enable product / system / solution positioning in the
marketplace. Supports value stream business plan development and
execution
- Advise the organization on customer trends and
network/integrated DoD, and USAF CONOPS and gaps
- Accomplishes results through both personal initiative and
counterparts across the Enterprise
- Considered an informal leader in a particular office/ business
partner or specific domain. Often responsible for high level
synchronization of business plans across several business units
with potential business size of over $100M
- On a global basis, regularly interacts with other business
units and medium level officials in both Government and Industry as
well as external customers. Required to shape both product and
system level business positions for the company
- Leads development of product, system and solution strategies by
supporting product roadmap development and investment planning;
develops market analysis in support of overall business plans;
Responsible for product, system and solution level branding and
positioning in the global marketplace
- Travel 30-50% RequiredQualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years
prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14
years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years' experience through a combination of
military, government and/or defense electronic industry
positions
- Experience in military communication systems, open
communication standards capabilities, and technologies
- Experience in organizations such as the DAF, AFRL HQ USAF, or
MajCom in an appropriate role
- Experience working and collaborating as subcontractor to
OEMsQualifications We Prefer
- Experience in waveform skills and datalinks
- Experience in US DoD CONOPS and integrated battlefield
communication and networking systems requirements
- Understanding of the US DoD requirements, budget and
procurement processes, and be comfortable interacting with DoD
subject matter experts and senior leaders in all areas of the
resource, requirements and acquisition process.
- Keen knowledge and understanding of the USAF vision for
multi-domain, modular, open communication standards (SOSA/MOSA),
skills/waveforms, Multi-function payloads, government reference
architectures (GRA) and capabilities in the aerial and terrestrial

this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided
is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
