Guideline Content Manager in Dallas, Texas (Flexible work
arrangements available)
The American Heart Association/ACC Guideline Content Manager (GCM)
serves as the product manager and an expert user of the structured
content management system for American Heart Association/ACC
guidelines, managing the full content lifecycle to achieve business
objectives, including efficient content reuse, compliance (e.g.,
readability, regulatory), and shortening time to publication.

Responsibilities
The GCM is responsible for the enterprise master content model,
including its adoption, implementation, and ongoing refinement so
that the content management system meets or exceeds business and
end-user needs.
The GCM guides, trains, and supports staff and volunteers involved
in content creation, content management, and the content-delivery
pipeline.
The GCM reports to the American Heart Association/ACC National
Senior Director, Guidelines, and works closely with American Heart
Association/ACC joint guideline staff in collaboration with
volunteer clinical cardiovascular clinicians.
The GCM serves as the primary point of contact with American Heart
Association and ACC IT teams and external vendors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English,
information architecture or related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a high-profile role
overseeing content structure within a large-scale and complex
digital and print publishing operation.
Proven technical acumen and experience with componentized content
modeling, structured authoring tools, and componentized content
management systems, and familiarity with semantic services.
Experience providing structural content solutions for diverse
content formats, including but not limited to: text, video, audio,
images, algorithms.
Experience with end-to-end publishing workflows and associated
systems spanning authoring, content management, content delivery,
and end-user content consumption.
Experience with translating business needs into functional and
technical requirements, and communicating with business and
technical teams
Experience managing requirement prioritization among multiple
stakeholders
Experience transitioning content creation and publishing operations
to a defined structured-authoring standard (e.g., DITA)
Experience with evidence-based health and wellness content
targeting segmented audiences (e.g., consumer, patient,
professional)
Experience with multi-lingual content operations
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in related field (e.g., public health)
Experience with conversational artificial intelligence (AI) agents
and applications, cloud-services, and API technology
Experience in working with individuals with varied levels of
knowledge and experience using new systems and technology (e.g.,
change enablement)
