Job Description:

*Background: *The Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber is a nonprofit organization working to advance common business interests, economic growth, and equality in the workplace and society for its LGBTQ and allied businesses, corporations, and professional members by providing educational, networking, and community engagement. With more than 1,200 members throughout the Tampa Bay Region, the Chamber is the premier voice of the Greater Tampa Bay LGBTQ business community.

*Title*: Manager, Membership & Programs/Events

*FLSA Status*: Exempt

*Reports to: *President & CEO

*Location: * St. Petersburg (Hybrid)

*Compensation: *Salary range of $38,000 -$44,000, Commission is uncapped and additional to salary. Commission averages from an additional $10,000 - $20,000 per year, based on performance. There is additional bonus pay. Total potential compensation package $40,000 -$70,000

*Position Summary: *The Membership & Events Manager is a full-time position that will work under the direction of the President & CEO on managing and growing the Chamber's membership and leading the Chamber's programs. The Membership & Events Manager will assist with all aspects of member relations, and with the planning and staffing of Chamber events related to business growth, networking, and education. General responsibilities include management and administration of the Chamber's strategic partnerships, recruit and retain members, planning and executing programs/events, and facilitation of the Ambassadors committee.

This position serves as support to Chamber leadership and requires excellent multi-tasking and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team. The Manager must have reliable transportation and be able to travel around the Tampa Bay Region to attend and participate in meetings and events as needed.

*Responsibilities: *

* Provide leadership and coordination related to day-to-day membership sales and retention efforts.
* Develop and implement a strategic branding and marketing plans, ensuring adherence to the Chamber's strategic plan and initiatives.
* Manage all planning and execution of programs and events, including monthly meetings, committees, monthly leadership, and networking programs. Assisting in executing signature events.
* Assist in leading daily business and administrative functions
* Assist with the management and upkeep of all databases
* Collaborate with team to develop and implement new member outreach campaigns
* Assist with the management of Chamber Committees, Ambassador Volunteer Program, Membership, and Special Events Committees
* Assist President & CEO on day-to-day business and administrative functions.

*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Qualifications: *

* Interest in and knowledge of LGBTQ issues, nonprofit management, business, event planning, marketing and/or communications
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office, and Excel preferred
* Some experience with database management and/or data entry a plus but not required, willingness to learn new systems
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to think creatively and analytically
* Strong interpersonal skills, must be comfortable on the phone and interacting with the public
* Organized, dependable and detail oriented
* Able to work well independently and as part of a team
* Skills in graphic and/or website design and online/social media tool management are a plus, but not required
* Exhibits a total commitment to maintaining high quality service standards of the Tampa Bay Chamber; demonstrates service excellence skills in dealing proactively with members, visitors, colleagues, and all Chamber contacts.


* Has earned or is pursuing a degree in relevant field, or comparable work experience
* Must be able to maintain confidentiality of member information
* Must be committed to excellent customer service and the vision and values of the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber
* The individual must be committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in the community and the workplace
* Available to work full-time - 40 hours a week, a typical schedule is flexible between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday; some early mornings and evenings will be required based on programing.
* Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel around the region

*Working Conditions: *

This position will be based out of our St. Petersburg office. Candidates who wish to work in a hybrid model (between home and the office) are required to live in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee, Sarasota, Polk, or Hernando counties. There will be frequent travel to Tampa & St. Petersburg, and around the region to visit members on site for special events and meetings on a regular basis. This flexible work schedule is depending on organizational, and staff needs; however, consistency and reliability are required for this job.
