Draper has an opening to join our team as the Facility Security
Officer (FSO) working out of our St. Petersburg location. The ideal
candidate will be a direct report to the Associate Director of
Security, based out of our corporate headquarters in Cambridge, MA.
The individual will manage all aspects of the National Industrial
Security Program (NISP) and other security activities ensuring
compliance with government and company security policies and
procedures. Liaison with security oversight agencies of other
Government customers, as well as sub/prime contractors. Experience
implementing policies and procedures in accordance with security
directives and requirements. As FSO the candidate must function as
part of the Draper corporate security team, but operate
- Duties involve ensuring compliance in
the areas of personnel security/visitor control, information system
security, physical security, document control, and security
education as outlined in government security manuals (CMR, NISPOM,
- Proficiency with maintaining and administration of security
databases, to include Defense Information Security (DISS) and
Security Information Management System (SIMS) database
- Requires rapid responses on multiple tasks to identify
solutions for emerging requirements, frequently with short
- Must use sound judgment and good business practices, while
maintaining good working relationships with internal and external
- Provides briefings on the overall security programs and related
responsibilities. Maintains document control accountability
systems, receives, generates and accounts for classified materials.

- Provides security support on special programs to the Draper
Program Manager, Technical Director and technical staff as
- Conducts administrative inquiries of security program
- Implements a method of inspections, audits and analysis of
security functions to determine performance.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8+ years of DoD and security management work experience
- Excellent written communications, aptitude for details, strong
communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite.
- Self-starter, experience in remote site office environment or
equivalent would be preferred.Security Requirements:
