We champion diversity to deliver the best products and solutions for our colleagues, clients and communities.About the role:As the Senior Strategy Manager, you will be a key member of the broader Merchant Strategy team, the internal strategy consulting arm of the Worldpay division. The role offers the opportunity to help shape and lead the strategy for the Worldpay for Platforms offering, a unit focused on the delivery of payment solutions to SaaS platforms and PayFacs.About the team:The broader Merchant Strategy team focuses on several priority areas:Crafting Business Unit Strategy for the $43 billion Worldpay business unit Competitive Alliances - broker "win win" deals w/ other leading global Fintechs Competitor Intelligence - framing our competitors' strategies for senior executives M&A Strategy - help lead our M&A process to advance Merchant priorities Portfolio Management - strengthen where (and how) we play in the market today Ad Hoc Executive Projects - serve as the "tiger team" for critical questions related to Merchant High Priority Project Support - advocate for support of high priority projects to executivesWhat you will be doing:Work closely with Enterprise Strategy executives and other peer business units to define and implement long-term market, competitive differentiation and product and pricing strategies that ensure the growth, viability and financial success of the platform's business.Assess how the Worldpay Platform offering is positioned within the market relative to competitors and identify key initiatives to strengthen our offering.Identify prospective partnerships and alliances to enhance the overall platform payments proposition and partner with the Merchant Strategy M&A team and partnerships team to help gain buy-in and brings deals to completionArticulate the business case around critical strategic projects for the platforms business and serve as an advocate to senior leadership to ensure high priority projects receive adequate funding and internal support.Work closely with strategic pricing personnel to advise and influence business unit executives on revenue and profit maximizing pricing strategies for the platform business overall and on new product launches.Conduct customer interviews to understand key needs and coordinate with product to prioritize the roadmap based on Voice of the Customer inputEngage with senior leadership to help answer emerging questions of critical strategic importance to the platform business, including internal data analysis and external research.As a visible and respected industry thought leader, represent industry press, with equity and industry analysts, industry associations, at industry conferences, internal conferences, strategic sales opportunities and senior executive meetings at key accounts.What you will need:Sufficient intelligence, professional experience and interpersonal skills to successfully interact and collaborate with peers and the corporation's most senior executivesFast learner with intellectual capacity to function in a highly complex global organizationAnalytical, disciplined, data-oriented decision maker and problem solverBias toward decisive actionFair amount of strategy, pricing, portfolio management, competitive intelligence and primary research experience, preferably in the financial services technology industryGood understanding of the company's products and services, banking technology, payments technology and at least one banking disciplineSkill to create and explain complex financial models that support executive decision-makingExperience with solution-based selling to banking executivesExperience with both acquisitions and divestitures, preferably in the financial services technology industryAbility to analyze market and clients' business needs and determine related requirementsAbility to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and management across technical and business functions across the company and client or partner organizationsEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
