Location: For this role we are open to remote work located within
the United States or Canada.
About the Opportunity:
Ceridian's Dayforce Talent Intelligence team delivers solutions to
integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence into talent
management tools. The product spans recruiting, onboarding,
compensation, engagement, performance, learning, and
succession.
Reporting to the Development Director for the Talent Intelligence
group, the candidate will be responsible for people and
productivity management as it relates to the delivery of machine
learning and data systems. Additionally, the candidate will be a
part of collaborations with other internal teams to facilitate the
successful integration and maintenance of systems.
What you'll get to do:
* Collaborate with product owners and technical leadership in
identifying, planning, and prioritizing work.
* Manage day-to-day flow: help resolve blocking issues; encourage
hand-off of information or work; stimulate productivity and
minimize process disruptions.
* Work with technical stakeholders in managing the evolution of the
systems architecture.
* Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
* Provide and function as a conduit for feedback and workplace
guidance for the team.
* Manage the growth and development of your team by helping them
navigate training and career growth opportunities.
* Manage and track goals and initiatives.
* Be a leader in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding
process.
* Support the team when it comes to technical decisions which have
a broad impact.
* Build and maintain an understanding of high-level technical
aspects of systems internal and external to the team.
* Encourage communication and collaboration among team members.
* Be proactive in identifying issues as they relate to team
capacity, tooling, automation opportunities, etc.
Skills and Experience we value:
* At least 5 years of experience working on a software engineering,
data science, or machine learning team, with some exposure to being
a manager or senior/lead member.
* Experience with machine learning systems; enough to be able to
discuss systems-level concepts.
* Experience with agile software development practices.
* Experience with planning, organizing, collaborating on, and
delivering projects.
* The ability to self-direct in identifying priorities and
initiating work.
* A collaborative approach to work, and the ability to give and
receive feedback.
Nice to have:
* A degree in a quantitative field.
* Experience with agile data science.
* Experience on a team which delivered SaaS or a cloud-based
product.
* Experience in being a part of a team's recruiting process.
