IT DIRECTOR
Reports to: Chief Operating OfficerFLSA Status: Full-Time,
Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Director is responsible for overseeing the technical
infrastructure for the organization, including but not limited to
overseeing the necessary hardware and software systems, managing
the design and implementation of all digital communications, and
focuses on reducing security risk. Reporting directly to the COO,
this role is considered a regional level support role and also
oversees the company's HelpDesk.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exemplifies exceptional internal customer service to all
communities and staff. "If they cannot function, our business
fails" mindset.
- Evaluates the company's adherence to technology requirements
for security.
- Assesses compliance with the company's cyber security insurance
(or similar) coverage(s).
- Maintains hardware inventory, order, and service hardware and
equipment. Evaluates age/warranty, replacement terms, etc. and make
recommendations as necessary to improve.
- Understands current technology challenges with property related
systems and platforms such as RealPage Leasing and Rents, OneSite
Accounting, Paycor, Knock, ILS's, Grace Hill, NAA Click & Comply,
Dropbox, etc.) and all necessary integrations. Make recommendations
to modify or improve platforms over time.
- Creates and maintains company e-mail domains and shared
calendars.
- Negotiates bulk equipment purchases and sets up new property
leasing offices and permanent spaces per development
deadlines.
- Establishes an IT Helpdesk ticketing system to support
community locations and manage priorities.
- Manages telecom vendors and contacts for service needs and
follows through with requests for install, modification, or
cancellation.
- Creates and manages processes to grant new hires access and
disables access at termination of employment.
- Partners with marketing on all overlapping of IT systems and
systems related to leasing, marketing, or advertising
initiatives.
- Oversees and directs IT support technician.
- All other IT duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or similar
preferred.
- 7+ years' experience in IT roles, preferably in the
multi-family industry.
- Proficient in RealPage/OneSite, Yardi, MRI, or similar software
required.
- Experience with a privately held, and/or family-owned business
preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the
ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in
a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with other team
members throughout the company.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where limited standardization
exists.
- High level of interpersonal skills, demonstrating poise, tact
and diplomacy in all business settings.

- Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, feel or
grip, and reach with hands and arms while performing standard
office duties.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Frequently use common office equipment, telephone, computer,
keyboard, mouse, copier/scanner, and variety of different
technology applications on a desktop or laptop.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and ability to travel.
POSITION SPECIFICS & BENEFITS
- Full-time position; Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00
p.m.
- Nights and weekends may be required during a technical
crisis.
- 96 hours PTO accrued each year for first two years of
service
- 136 hours of PTO each year after two years and above
- 176 hours of PTO accrued each year after 7 years of
service
- Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance available after 60-day
waiting period
- Good background required
- 90-day probationary period
