HUGE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN AN AMAZING TEAM AND A GREAT PLACE TO WORK!!Following the great success of his first location in Seminole, De La Fontaine Trilingual Montessori School is opening a 2nd campus in St Pete early 2022! The school will welcomes children from 0 to 6 years in a Montessori environment with full immersion in English, French and Spanish with native speaker teachers.We are actively seeking to start in December 2021 or early 2022> a qualified, experienced, and energetic Director of Operations to work cooperatively with the Owner-Company Director in the day-to-day operations of the program ensuring compliance with local, state, federal and corporate standards.The Director of Operations will oversee the daily operations of the school and will be a natural leader and a central point of contact for all stakeholders including children, families, staff and community partners. He/she will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and loving environment that fosters and respects the natural development of children while promoting our Montessori school values and principles.He/she will be responsible for DCF regulations and documentation/licensing and ensures that facility is maintained. He/she manages and supports staff and manages the center's financial affairs according to the budget.The applicant must demonstrate high competency in communication, problem solving, administrative skills, as well as the ability to collaborate in working closely with owner/company director. He/she is an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal, oral and written skills. He/she develops strong relationships with families by communicating regularly and consistently during drop off / pick up, phone calls, emails. social media, website content, and other online avenues as instructed.The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a daycare center, a preschool or a school, as well as strong leadership skills.The ideal candidate will not only share our passion to serve children but will have the administrative experience and capacity to ensure state and local compliance, to manage a diverse team staff, and handle relationships with parents of the school and members of our community. Support the Owner - Company Director in the general operation of the School.. Oversee school operations. Maintain an excellent system of organization of school records and correspondence. Ensure accurate record keeping. Maintain up-to-date enrollment information. Ensure classroom and school coverage as needed. Develop and maintain appropriate staffing schedules. Maintain appropriate teacher-child ratios at all times. Maintain accurate records - child, staff, facility / licensing department. Provide resources for parents-- Assist with maintenance/update of critical school documents such as parent handbooks, staff handbooks and other related documents.-- Procure supplies as needed and maintain inventories.Licensing & Health and Safety-- Maintain a positive relationship with the licensing department and specialist-- Maintain the current licensing documentation-- Maintain children's and staff files and records and ensure that they are complete per childcare licensing requirements-- Comply with all current licensing regulations and ensures state licensing requirements are met at all times-- Conduct emergency drills, such as fire, tornado and intruder drills and other safety training in accordance with licensing department-- Adheres to mandatory reporting guidelines-- Ensures child safety checks are being conducted and implement site wide safety checks-- Communicates with janitor and/or facilities department as needed and ensures facility is sanitized daily-- Schedules annual First Aid and CPR for all staff and any other required training-- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for the whole school community and implement a playground safety programProgram support and professional development-- Ensure curriculum is being implemented developmentally appropriately for each age group and child-- Develop monthly themes, events and field trips-- Plan and implement an enrichment program year-round calendar and develop enrichment activities-- Provide the team with assistance in preparing lesson plans and developing themes-- Review daily parent - teacher communication-- Facilitate and support professional development opportunities for staff-- Attend and conduct monthly team meetings-- Conduct classroom observations and provide ongoing feedback-- Stay abreast of research and development in the early childhood development, education field and Montessori philosophy-- Maintain a resource library at the schoolEnrollment and Marketing

  • Answer the telephone in a professional and positive manner
  • Conduct virtual and in person tours, open houses and informational sessions to promote enrollment
  • Enroll new families and orientation to the program
  • Develop and maintain open and positive communication with enrolled families
  • Maintain excellent customer service
  • Ensure efficiency of our system of home-school communication, such as the Daily Reports, pictures upload and school newsletter
  • Develop and maintain community partnershipsFiscal Management
    • Adhere and maintain the operating budget
    • Purchase supplies and equipment as needed
    • Schedule maintenance and repairs as neededJob Requirements-- Meets and knowledge of state licensing requirements-- Computer proficiency with Microsoft word and Excel, internet and social medias-- Strong leadership skills with a friendly and outgoing personality-- Highly professional and reliable-- Exceptional organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-thinking skills-- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills-- Able to maintain professional composure in stressful situations-- Mature, professional, organized, and capable of ensuring confidentiality of all school records and communication-- Must be proficient in English - able to speak, read and writeThe qualified applicant must have -- 5+ years' experience in Education and School Administrative Management - required-- Florida Director's Credential for Administrators - in compliance with Child Care Licensing - required-- CDA - Childhood Development Associate - required-- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related field - preferred-- 2+ years' Montessori experience with a minimum of 3+ years' classroom experience - preferred-- Current certification in CPR and first aid - required-- Level 2 background screening - requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:
