Are you ready to take your career to the next level? --Join us at PSCU!This position supports successful execution of comprehensive risk data acquisition, ETL and fraud strategy programs leading to achievement of PSCU---s goals for delivering fraud solutions to member-owners.-- Incumbent will support all anti-fraud activities within the division using advanced professional concepts to develop resolution to critical fraud issues and broad strategy and fraud reporting design matters, as well as support technology platforms (Elasticsearch, RHEL, ETL scripting) supporting such initiatives.-- Incumbent will research future concepts, products, or technologies, and apply analytical tradecraft to data collection, organization, interpretation, summerization, analysis and reporting to further the Fraud Analytics mission. --Role Responsibilities

  • Utilize programming for fraud detection and intelligence activities across various tools and data elements which analyze and identify fraudulent activities and transactions across various channels and ensure proper mitigation efforts are taken on any significant intelligence leads related to cross channel fraud and risk issues
  • Program advanced queries and procedures in Lucene and Python to advance the tactical and strategic mission of Fraud Intelligence
  • Conduct research and analysis on worldwide fraud threats against PSCU and its clients
  • Analyze available data sets to identify trends and patterns, detect anomalies, and map financial and criminal networks through multiple tools such as search engines, proprietary methods, and tools to manipulate large data sets
  • Transform data into actionable information for decision-makers
  • Support fraud analytics data standards and offer recommendations for current and future needs
  • Develop and deliver high quality actionable intelligence products based on all source data
  • Partner with key organizational stakeholders and departments to understand their key business and marketing challenges, assess and prioritize opportunities, and work efforts and business impact
  • Provide thought leadership in design of methods and selection of fraud data set(s) to be employed to bring data driven insight to both internal fraud analytics teams and member-owners
  • Demonstrate understanding of impact of Analytics solutions and data on PSCU---s business operations, and develop plans accordingly
  • Provide advice and counsel to PSCU Product Team, Enterprise Risk, Fraud Risk and Information Technology regarding additional fraud analytics and reporting opportunities
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization
  • Perform other duties as assignedRole RequirementsEducation:--
    • Bachelor---s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience ---required.Experience:--
      • Advanced Lucene and Python knowledge
      • Advanced knowledge of Elasticsearch architecture
      • Three years of experience with ETL Development
      • Experience in administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux
      • Analytical professional with 6+ years of experience in Fraud, Data Science, Modelling or Risk areas
      • Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau and PowerBI preferred
      • Experience working with Information Technology/Information Security personnel and understanding how software/hardware solutions can be applied to mitigate fraudKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities

        • Demonstrated self-starter with proven ability to execute work with minimal supervision
        • Must have a strong desire to stay current, learn and apply new technologies and concepts

        • Experience using and implementing new technical tools for analytical program improvements and information management
        • Strong business acumen and contextual understanding of data, as well as and deep subject matter expertise in the supporting analytic technology areas of data modeling, data governance, analytics system design, performance optimization and business intelligence enablement
        • Ability to participate in the development of high value strategic plans, understanding prioritization trade-offs, and ability to garner maximum return on investment from PSCU---s enterprise analytics offerings
        • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
        • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines; ability to take ownership of issues in assigned area, and drive timely resolution
        • Demonstrated excellent analytical and quantitative skills
        • Ability to respond quickly and adapt to changes in priorities driven by a dynamic market; ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve the computing environment
        • Ability to exercise discretion and independent good judgment in making decisions
        • Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities
        • Ability to maintain confidentiality of materials handled
