Griner Engineering, Inc. (GEI), a Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Consulting Engineering firm located in St. Petersburg, FL, has an opening for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of design experience in the MEP Consulting Engineering industry. Responsibilities: Working knowledge of Florida Building Codes and local codes. Proven ability to produce a full set of mechanical drawings based on the client's design criteria including specifications, if required. Experience with managing a design project from proposal acceptance through completion. Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary design team to include other engineers, architects, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and other invested parties. Experience with responding to reviewer comments, reviewing submittals, and RFI's. Proven ability to stay on schedule and on budget. Able to perform site visits to examine/verify existing conditions, mechanical inspections, and mechanical analyses. Proven proficiency in Revit; proficiency in AutoCAD is assumed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected. For over 55 years Griner Engineering, Inc. Salary ranging from $80,000/yr. to $110,000/yr., commensurate with experience.
