Environmental Engineer
This is a full-time position: Monday - Friday, days.
St. Petersburg is our primary softgel development and manufacturing
facility in North America with a capacity of 18 billion capsules
per year. The featured RP Scherer softgel technology is a proven
oral drug delivery solution to enhance bioavailability of poorly
soluble Rx and OTC drug candidates. Non-gelatin based OptiShell -
and Vegicaps - capsules expand the range of molecules into softgel,
ideal for challenging fill formulation. Within the Catalent

Position Summary

The Environmental Engineer Supports the Environmental, Health and
Safety Department to ensure the site operates at the highest level
of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm while striving to maintain
environmental compliance. Be a creative and proactive contributor,
while remaining focused on continual improvement.
The Role
Maintain files and documentation records as required by
environmental regulations such as CAA, CWA, RCRA. Prepares annual
SARA and VOC emissions reports.
Prepares monthly inspections and reports to comply with current
environmental permits such as air and wastewater.
Be willing to work with in established guideline for the continual
improvement on Environmental compliance.
Cross train on safety regulationssuch as OSHA
Submits environmental permit applications and renewals to the
proper authorities.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as required
The Candidate
Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in Engineering or related field
required.
Minimum of 5 years related environmental compliance experience
required
Knowledge on CAA, CWA, RCRA required. Knowledge on FDEP
requirements preferred.
Good verbal, written and communication skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, programs and
standard operating procedures
Ability to perform and review engineering calculations, add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, logarithms, and decimals
Able to manage multiple projects and assignments on a routine
basis.
Have the ability to read and interpret technical publications such
as the Code of Federal Regulation and Environmental permits
