POSITION DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION The SSL Store, a fast-growing distributor of cybersecurity products headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and develop a world class platform to support our initiatives. This position reports to the Director of Software Engineering and is a great fit for someone who wants to plan and execute quickly (without red tape, micro-management, or ---design by committee---). This position will focus on the overhaul of our major systems, including building deployment pipelines, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our needs. The ideal candidate will need to collaborate with the engineering team to make high-level decisions on platforms, infrastructure, and best practices. Once familiar with the company, the website security industry and the given situation, this person will need to understand the goals and strategy behind every project from conception to completion for all websites, systems, and web applications. RESPONSIBILITIES Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure Setting up tools and infrastructure for CI/CD Level 2 Technical Support Encouraging and building out automated processes wherever possible Working with developers to setup, maintain, and deploy containers Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations Other duties as assigned PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with setting up and maintaining servers Experience in IT or DevOps Experience with deployment tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc. Experience managing DNS, CDNs, and other cloud-based computing services Experience with database environments Bachelor---s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience and formal training Effectively communicate, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently Company Overview: Rapid Web Services, LLC is an emerging web-based technology company located right in the heart of beautiful downtown St. Petersburg, where we maintain multiple internet-based businesses, but are primarily focused on one e-commerce company (www.theSSLstore.com) that operates in the global website security and web hosting industry.
