Job Description Job Description The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in the delivery of educational programs and services through: Training faculty and staff Managing faculty and staff Monitoring and maintaining curricula Managing the delivery of educational services Overseeing and monitoring student performance The Associate Dean must have a minimum of a Master's Degree with academic experience. Train Faculty/Staff: The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in developing and managing all faculty and academic staff. To accomplish this, the Associate Dean must: On-board and orient new faculty and staff Mentor program/department chairs Coordinate and provide faculty training Manage Faculty and Staff: The Associate Dean is responsible for providing campus level leadership, management, and support for all faculty and academic staff in the programs he/she is assigned to oversee. To accomplish this, the Associate Dean must: Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to faculty Review student evaluations of faculty Conduct annual faculty performance evaluations Identify low performing faculty and work with program chairs and Dean to improve performance (enhancement plans) Monitor enhancement plans and review progress The Associate Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in developing and maintaining a campus curriculum that meets the needs of current students and the community. A minimum of forty (40) hours per week, plus other hours as may be necessary to complete job duties. A combination a day, evening, and weekend hours is required.
