HUGE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN AN AMAZING TEAM AND A GREAT PLACE TO WORK!!Following the great success of the first location in Seminole, De La Fontaine Trilingual Montessori School is opening a 2nd campus in St Pete early 2022! The school will welcome children from 2 months to 6 years old in a Montessori environment with full immersion in English, French and Spanish with native speaker teachers.We are actively seeking to start in December 2021 or early 2022

  • > a qualified, experienced, and reliable infant teacher for our Infant classroom (2 to 12 months).* * Responsibilities and Duties: It is important for us to find a candidate that is experienced, professional, a team player, caring, patient, well-spoken, reliable, and who truly has a love and passion for working with infants. Some of the responsibilities you will have include, but are not limited to:
    • Provide professional, loving and engaged care for infants and their parents.
    • Plan, prepare and implement ongoing developmentally appropriate activities for infant children in developmentally appropriate activities
    • Prepare and maintain a safe, interesting, inviting and organized classroom
      • Materials/supplies preparation, nursery set up and clean up, classroom maintenance.
      • Full compliance with licensing requirements and required trainings
        • Act as a lead member of an educational team in planning and delivering De La Fontaine Trilingual Montessori School high-quality services
          • Being a leader and a team player, willing and able to work with all types of people and personalities
          • Forming strong relationships with families and having open daily communication; Maintaining individual daily written/electronic records with details regarding sleeping, eating, diapering, etc.
          • Observing and evaluating each child's performance, behavior, social and cognitive development, and physical health. Inform parents of the child's progress through regular communication and parent/teacher conferences.
          • Attending to child's basic needs by making sure they are safe, fed, dressed, and diapered when required
          • Maintain awareness and sensitivity for all children with special needs, allergies, known medical or emotional needs
          • Cleaning and disinfecting classroom and toys/materials in alignment with COVID-19 health & safety policies_* Position requirements: _ * *
            • Must have a minimum 3 years of experience working with children under the age of 12 months, in a licensed childcare facility.
            • Must provide previous employer references

            • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
            • Ability to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
            • Excellent ability to engage with children at their developmental level
            • DCF training completed, CDA preferred
